JoAnna Camposano

Born and raised in Del Rio, TX, JoAnna is passionate about helping families in the community achieve the dream of homeownership.

During college, her career began when she started working at Border Federal Credit Union and realized that she enjoyed working with people. When her CU decided to offer mortgage lending to it’s members and brought in Irwin Mortgage Lending, she had the opportunity to join the team.  They were searching for a bi-lingual loan officer assistant, so JoAnna took the chance and quickly learned the ropes, spending the next three years helping the Loan Officer set up files for clients. 

But JoAnna’s potential was hard to ignore, and they offered her the opportunity to become a licensed Loan Officer. Now, 18 years later, she is a Branch Manager, still originating loans and loving every minute.  She recently joined and re-branded her branch with Fairway Independent Mortgage because they have so many programs and support for their LO’s to succeed in the workplace. JoAnna is a natural fit with Fairway and loves that even though it’s such a huge company, you still feel like family and not just a number.

She has thrived in the business simply because she enjoys helping people achieve the American Dream of homeownership. Her experience from the early days with the bank up to today has allowed her to learn each role in the mortgage lending industry. It’s also given her the ability to teach her staff what she knows, giving them the insight to resolve any issues that pop up and better serve more families. 

One of JoAnna’s biggest strengths is her ability to structure loans that other lenders have turned down, ultimately getting these borrowers approved and into a home. She often tells her clients that she’s “like a doctor, always on call.” She strives to provide the best customer service and give her clients the best experience in obtaining a home. 

When JoAnna is not working, she loves to travel with her family and explore new places. She most enjoys spending time with her family watching movies, swimming, and riding bikes with the kids. In her solo time, she loves to plant flowers, go out dancing, go shopping for shoes and purses (especially in New York), and tries to avoid her one fear- heights!   You can find her most days in her Del Rio office, living the dream!
